Club 8

Consisting of vocalist Karolina Komstedt and composer/ multi-instrumentalist Johan Angergård, Club 8 debuted in 1995 upon their departure from Poprace. Intending on creating a sound of delicate, animated pop, the duo quickly released their first single "Me Too" shortly after their formation. Compared to the likes of fellow Swedish residence Cloudberry Jam, The Cardigans and Red Sleeping Beauty, Club 8 continued with their first full-length Nouvelle in 1996. Their second album The Friend I Once Had came out two years later and eventually followed with their first ever live performance in New York City that same year. ~ Mike DaRonco, All Music Guide
