O.V. Wright - Hi Masters

The Hi Masters compiles 15 studio recordings, all from 1977 and 1978 with the exception of the two songs that comprised O.v. Wright's first release on Hi, the 1976 single "Rhymes" (which charted in the R&B Top 100 that year) and it's B-side, "Without You." The collection kicks off strong with the gospel-drenched delivery, decidedly secular subject, and driving momentum of {"Into Something (Can't Shake Loose),"} his sole hit in 1977 (it reached the Top 50).
